Fargo opening title sequence and dvd menu design
The domestic scenes for this opening title sequence were chosen as a metaphor for homes in the movie, mediocre, unoriginal and unfashionable. The patterns within them represent people trying to live their ordinary lives, one similar to the other. It is disruption of these patterns that suggests foul play - a disturbance. The sequence tells the narrative of secrecy and murders of innocent people, which is illustrated through dissapearance of pattern and turning off the light.
